From the centre of Ambleside follow the one way system from the direction of Grasmere and turn left at Barclays Bank. At the junction, turn immediately left and follow the road alongside Stock Ghyll. After about ½ mile, the cattle grid at the southerly corner of the holding is reached. This is the entrance to Grove Farm.

Grove farm occupies a truly spectacular position on the easterly slopes of the Stock Valley, just above
