Future Proofing Your Farming Enterprise26th February 2019
Farmers invited to attend evening seminars to learn about the current opportunities and how best to plan for the future
H&H Land and Property, incorporating H&H Michael C L Hodgson, have announced they will be holding two seminars in March to inform farmers of business opportunities and grants, in light of the uncertainty of Brexit.
Free to attend, the two seminars will take place at the Upper Eden Rugby Club, Kirkby Stephen on Thursday 7th March and at Grizebeck Community Hall on Thursday 14th March.
Members from Broughton Auction Market, H&H Land and Property, H&H Insurance Brokers and H&H Farm Finance in association with Mulberry Finance, will give the latest information and updates on:
- Farm Business Management, Rural and Land Agency Issues
- Farm Insurance Matters
- Current Grant Schemes, considering all grant funding opportunities and pitfalls.
- Asset Farm Finance
Each seminar will open at 6:45PM, and speakers will include Mark Barrow, Chartered Surveyor; Paul Graham, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute; Colin Tomlinson, Chartered Surveyor; and Mike Robinson, Partner of Mulberry Asset Finance.
Directing the seminars and chairing the occasions will be Colin Tomlinson, Managing Director of H&H Land and Property. He describes the events as ‘an opportunity to cover, discuss and debate current subjects in farming’:
“These evenings will provide farmers with in depth information on the Brexit process, together with and any mitigation that is known to be in place and updates on other developments. The presentations will be topical and offer industry updates, as well as explaining the services that each of the companies can offer.”
“In the background to the seminars, there will be a practical emphasis on really knowing your business, and how to look for and identify new opportunity.”
“The four areas we will discuss are intended to cover the complete spectrum of business issues that agriculture faces. Farmers may be experts in their fields, but there is a lot of new ground to break when it comes to business matters, and we are here to help.”
