6th March 2019

One of the north of England’s foremost firms of rural practitioners, H&H Land and Property, have increased their professional team with the appointment of fully qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor, Robert Jauneika MRICS FAAV.

From a rural background in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, Robert’s new position will see him offer professional advice to clients based out of the Durham office of H&H Land and Property.

After spending much of his younger years on friends’ farms, Robert, decided that his career goal was to become a Chartered Surveyor. After graduating from Harper Adams University in 2016, with a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Robert then worked as Rural Surveyor with the National Trust, managing land and property across the north of England for the Charity. During this time, he qualified to become a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV).

In addition, Robert also achieved the Alistair Turnbull Prize for the highest placed candidate in the 2018 CAAV entrance examinations in the Northumbria and Cumbria Branch, a rigorous two-day examination process incorporating practical, written and oral elements.  Robert has particular skills in valuation work, estate and asset management, landlord and tenant matters, and sales and lettings of rural property.

Now living in Newcastle, and looking forward to taking up his appointment, Robert said:

“I was keen to work with H&H Land and Property because of their highly respected reputation and the variety of opportunities they offer, and I am delighted to have been given this role.

I will be joining the business in what is a very interesting time within the industry, for both farmers and landowners. During this period, they will need to look at their businesses and review their practices to ensure they are grasping all possible opportunities, and I plan to work with our clients to do so.”

“One particular area will be the changing agricultural subsidy world. This will have a major impact on many businesses, and as a Rural Surveyor, I aim to support our clients in these uncertain times and help them to plan for the future.”

H&H Land and Property have a strong reputation for providing a broad range of services to their clients, including valuations of rural property; sales and lettings; planning and development advice; farm business advice; and utilities work, as well as a broad spectrum of other professional land agency services.

Commenting on his appointment, Tim Sedgewick, Associate and Chartered Surveyor for H&H Land and Property based in the Durham office, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Robert to our expanding team at Durham; he demonstrates a very detailed understanding of the industry and from his experience he will be able to provide specialist advice to our clients. Looking ahead, I will be working closely with Robert, and I am certain that his skills will add to the extensive services we already offer.”
