Katie Hunter Achieves Professional Status1st November 2018
Katie secures her place with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and H&H Land and Property has another MRICS team member.
H&H Michael CL Hodgson are delighted to announce that Mrs Katie Hunter, of Sedbergh, Cumbria, has successfully passed her RICS examinations and joins the Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors.
In achieving this career milestone, she also joins an impressive line–up of RICS staff within this leading company of Chartered Surveyors, who operate across Cumbria, the North of England and the Scottish Borders.
The designation of Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is an internationally recognised and respected mark of professional excellence and integrity and being able to use the MRICS label after your name is a mark of knowledge, skill and commitment.
Katie joined the company as an Assistant Land Agent two years ago, after achieving a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams University. Working across all areas of the business including Landlord and Tenant, Sales, Valuations, Estate Management, Stewardship Claims and BPS Claims, she has a keen interest in Landlord and Tenant matters and based her University dissertation on the challenges facing retired tenant farmers.
From a rural background in Lancashire, where she spent 10 years working within the dairy industry, Katie now lives on a hill farm in Dentdale, with beef and sheep enterprises. Commenting on achieving this sought-after professional qualification, Katie said:
“I have been working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor since graduating from Harper Adams University in 2014 and securing my MRICS status which was aided by the mentoring I have received from the team, here at H&H Michael C L Hodgson. They have supported me along the way and I have been given huge opportunities to further develop my knowledge and my career, I am elated that the hard work has paid off!
As we head towards Brexit, I now look forward to working with and helping our clients across Cumbria and The Lake District during what are sure to be both challenging and interesting times for the farming industry.”
